Minnie

Saturday we rescued an English Bulldog from a lady who was not taking care of her. Minnie didn't have a name and was left in a wire crate 19 hours a day and when she was let out is was only to go outside, she wasn't allowed in the house. The woman had 5 other dogs, a horse and 2 goats that were also being neglected, too bad we couldn't rescue them all. We are working with Minnie as if she were a puppy ( she is 16 months old), since she never really had any training. She is so sweet and gets along with the other dogs and all my kids. The only person we have found she is scared to death of is my neice and her friend, who look very much alike. We are thinking that the girl who lives there ( possibly a daughter) abused the dog since she was not allowed out of the house when we met the dog, and she looks a little like my neice, same length hair and features. We are hoping after she knows she is safe here that she won't be afraid of anyone, but I am sure it will take some time. I am trying to track down her vet records since the lady didn't have a permanent vet, she just took her where ever. I know she hasn't been to the vet recently because she told us she is due for " some shots" but wasn't sure what... I pray we can love Minni enough to make her feel safe and at home. So far she seems happy, sleeping with the 2 little ones the most. Minnie has also taken a liking to Christina, who really doesn't get close to animals after we lost Squirty. She and Minnie do seem to have something though. Please pray that Minnie will come around and not be afraid of blonde hair, shoulder length little girls.. lol

  3. What a cutie!!! we are waiting to hear from the rescue we got Bree from for another, but nothing yet.
All in God's time I guess....but with T not being here at night anymore, I might want something a little more watchful! Bree wouldn't get off the sofa if a bomb went off!!!!!
